Eat, sleep, edit, and repeat. This routine perfectly summarizes how the past week has been for me as a Double R Intern/Production Assistant. After shooting a news story at the Supreme Court last week, the editing process has been like a whirlwind. Lorenz and I sorted through more than a dozen clips and long interviews to produce an objective story that will be no more than two-and-a-half minutes. If you do not have a great deal of experience with editing software, creating a project like this can take days. And it has.
In addition to script revisions and voiceover recordings for the news story, we also added content to our first vlog in order to make it better. We look forward to finally sharing it. Reaching the halfway mark of this spring internship is hard to believe. The weather has been warm and sunny, which is the complete opposite of the cold, blizzard-like conditions in D.C. when I first arrived.
We would also like to give a special thanks to Double R’s Technical Assistant José and the rest of the staff for helping us through our latest climate change – an editing storm.
