During this first week, ourDouble R intern team is absorbing mounds of information. Being nervous and excited at the same time, my colleagues Majdal Sobeh, Fanny Pantoja and I did not know what to expect this first week interning at Double R Productions.
As the saying goes, “One can never have a second chance to make a great first impression.” Therefore we needed to make a mark on our first day by at least arriving early. Upon arrival, Rodger Brown, the Communications & Intern Coordinator gladly welcomed us and as expected we went through a whole manual with guidelines for interns at Double R Productions.
Later on Producer Catherine Baum assigned another day’s task of going on a Scavenger hunt to learn our way around the area. We were told that an hour would be enough for the hunt, but we ended up using an hour and a half due to some occurrences with improper foot wear, inefficient directions and inclement weather. DC Summers are very hot! Finally we met Rosemary Reed, the owner of Double R Productions and with excitement we went through our intern manual again, took on more tasks and posed for our intro pictures as interns.
