As the semester unwinds, I find myself looking back on all the experiences, challenges and memories Double R has provided. It seems like yesterday when I started my first day as an intern, the nervous butterflies definitely seemed to creep up on me. I kept asking myself the same questions over and over, “Were the other interns just as nervous?” and “Will the staff like me?” Questions I’m sure many have asked and wondered, but my butterflies were put to ease when I met Alan and Andrew, both stellar interns who became more then just interns, they became my friends. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had my mishaps in editing and shooting, and how can we forget the “Coffee Machine vs. Lynnette” post to which I’ve gotten locked down! Double R has become more then an internship; the staff and crew have really taken me under their wing and taught me the essence of working in a professional environment, and for that I am forever grateful. I mean, really, who could say they had the chance to travel from a small town to Washington D.C., intern at a top production company, attend fabulous networking parties and meet great people along the way? Now with only three and half weeks left, we’re wrapping up our projects and reflecting on all of our experiences.
Until next time readers,
Lynnette
