Well, we’ve had another busy week of shoots here at Double R Productions. Lynnette and I actually had the opportunity to assist on a shoot for the International Institute for Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR). We traveled to the outskirts of Baltimore, to shoot at a factory that uses ammonia to keep its storage rooms cold. Basically, we spent an entire day filming all of the different valves and equipment necessary to use ammonia and the proper precautions that one must take when dealing with this potentially deadly substance. Now, although this may not sound like the most exciting project ever, between climbing up on the roof of a building on a cold, wet, and rather windy November day and listening to the many humorous stories of Gino, our DP (that stands for Director of Photography for any of you film newbies), there was plenty of stuff to keep all of us busy. From what I could gather, Double R and IIAR have worked together on this project for quite a while, and it was cool to see all of the work that goes into filming material for a basic training video that saves lives.
Until next time,
Alan
