I can’t believe that networking is such a big part of my life. For those who do not know, networking is the best way to meet new people, learn about companies, and even make you stand out to future employers. With that being said, networking has become a new way of life for me. In fact, if you look up the word networking in the dictionary, you would probably find a nice picture of me cheesing as an example of great networking. Ever since I’ve been here at Double R Productions I have been networking like crazy. My first networking adventure came when I was celebrating at a rooftop dinner with the Hispanic Public Relations Board. Next, I found myself networking with a TV talent from Telemundo at the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Gala. Then, I networked with a big time lawyer from New York and the actor S. Epatha Merkerson from Law and Order, who was very impressed with my eagerness to get involved in her project. Networking is by far one of the best lessons that I have really taken seriously while interning at Double R Productions. However, I can’t believe I’m so good at it. And with only a month left at this wonderful internship, I have to make sure to make the most of my time and network some more. Hopefully I run into someone that can change my life drastically. Fingers crossed!

Rosemary Reed
Since 1987 Rosemary Reed has built Double R into a creative, value-added communications and television/video production firm. Double R serves satisfied clients ranging from major national agencies and Fortune 500 companies to government, local arts and non-profit organizations. Reed began her media career as a radio station news director, establishing her reputation in Washington, DC at the FOX network as the executive producer of “Panorama” with Maury Povich. To this day, the program still stands as one of the nation’s longest running, live, daily talk shows. She also produced the first weekend news hour for WTTG-TV (Metromedia) in DC. Reed’s career as a reporter, anchor and special projects television producer/director allowed her to cover all major regions of the country, including producing and broadcasting crisis situations in Israel and El Salvador. Reed has taken her company international, on assignment in Cambodia, Russia, Mexico and Belgium. Reed’s award-winning work has received recognition and awards too numerous to mention.
