As all the leaves fall from the trees and the weather gets colder and the wind blows harder everyone awaits the hot, delicious food that will be served on Thanksgiving Day.
This year my church will be giving out Thanksgiving baskets for those in need. That’s the thing about Thanksgiving; it’s not only about sitting with your family eating and laughing.
This Holiday is also about sharing and caring. Many people are on the street that go days without anything to eat and places to sleep. That’s why I’m glad I had the opportunity as an intern at Double R Productions to do a pro bono for Miriam’s Kitchen that will be a great place for people to go who are in need or even to volunteer.
This will be the first year without my aunt with us on Thanksgiving and this is what she was all about: giving, sharing and caring. So take this year as an opportunity to give back to your community in any way possible. Happy Thanksgiving and suit up. Its cold out there!
