The conditions are busy with a chance of excitement

Another exciting and busy week at Double R has passed. It has only been three weeks and it already feels like I have been here for months, in a good way of course! We observed, assisted and completed our own in-house shoot, strung out video on the AVID, and got the low down on “our” big project of the semester. My fellow interns and I have begun the finishing touches on a massive project initiated by past interns—the results of which will rest on our shoulders. More on that later. At Double R, we have a lot on our plate. However, this workload keeps us busy learning, developing, and fine-tuning our production knowledge and skill.

Three weeks later, we have learned a great deal. As a part of learning anything new, one ought to be tested in order to acknowledge true mastery of the information. That’s where our intern review came in. Rosemary tested Kate, Kelley Anne, and I on our knowledge of our daily responsibilities and I think we did pretty well, with room for improvement of course. We excelled on typical office duties and demonstrated our newfound knowledge for software, but we definitely needed to learn more about the great achievements awarded to Double R. With numerous trophies and plaques all over the office, remembering them all can be a bit overwhelming. But knowing what each and every single award is and why Double R earned it will reinforce Double R’s motto: “The Best Brand in the Business!”

P.S. For those confused as to why I am wearing a “corn” hat, it not only stimulates my creativeness, but it’s also promotional merchandise for Rosemary Reed’s Reeds Green Growers project. Check it out at www.reedsgreengrowers.com!
