What do interns do?

Responsibility is the name of the game at Double R Productions. While many of the other TWC interns I’ve spoken with bemoan their mundane tasks, Double R is interested in what the interns can bring to the table. To that end, we’ve consistently been asked how we can innovate Double R ideas with our own personal touches. Besides trying to keep Catherine and Rosemary outfitted with a host of different articles, I’ve been researching the benefits of social media for small businesses. Given the competitive world of new media, I hope these contributions, like the use of twitpics and expansion of our LinkedIn presence, can help build even more connections for the company. Likewise, when presented with the task to come up with new sketches for the WHADOYADO series, a promotional campaign centered around connecting with potential clients by answering common questions, the interns all scratched their heads for ways we could approach the project creatively. In the end, I tried to choose complex and thoughtful workplace related issues that tend to be a little less talked about. That’s the spirit of Double R, where innovation isn’t just suggested, it’s the standard.
