As I came to my internship site this week, I felt nervous since I did not know what to expect. I started on Tuesday because Mother Nature decided to be feisty and snowed. I am from Boston, so I am used to the snow however, the great people of D.C. got scared and shut down everything.
I was very fortunate to meet the wonderful Double R staff, which is wild and fun to be around. I learned how to mail a package, take part in staff meetings, order office supplies, and transcribe. Oddly enough, I find transcribing enjoyable. I was a loner since Darron Daniels, the other Double R intern and my partner in crime, was stuck in snowy North Carolina. He will be here on Monday which I am very excited about. I know it will be a great time in this lovely place and I am excited to see what next week has to offer.
