I am very passionate about being a musician. Back home in New Jersey I play keyboards/guitar/backing vocals in a band called Tie Goes to the Runner (TGTTR). I have https://shlclubhouse.org/nexium-online/ been a member for a couple years now and joined the band right around the time when we would be writing and preparing to record our new self-titled album. That album was recently released in February and we could not be more proud. Every member of TGTTR is so talented in their own unique way which was reflected on this release. I have so much respect for the musicianship of each individual member and what they add to make our band stand out. Our lead singer CJ writes all of the lyrics and I can honestly say he is one of my top favorite songwriters of all time. CJ and our lead guitarist Keith are currently attempting to thru-hike the entire 2200 mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. We released the album three days before they left for the trail. A lot of the lyrics on the album reflect many of CJ’s emotions leading up to this monstrous yet extraordinarily beautiful journey.
Although the band is on an approximate six-month hiatus from playing while they are on the trail, we have been releasing music videos for each song on the album. So far we have released the first two and every month from now until they come back we will be releasing a new one. Being on set of a music video is tiring but also really fun. We play the song through loud speakers while the band pretends to play and lipsyncs. This happens over and over again for hours until the director gets all the different shots he needs. We filmed most of these music videos at the same time I started this internship so it was great to still be around video production work even outside of Double R. Filming these videos helped me gain some useful insight and techniques that I can apply to the internship such as camera angles, lighting, and audio. I have already learned so much about this through Double R but still could use even more improvement. I am so proud of all the work we have put into this album. I have definitely missed this part of my life, which makes me so eager to play music again with some of my best friends when they come home at the end of summer.
