I’ve been pondering about what to write in my final Double R Productions blog for the last few days, which has really been quite difficult because my intern experience has been anything but conventional. My growth as a person can be attributed from both my stay at Double R as well as the whole DC environment. Since this could easily become a long-winded essay on how much this opportunity has meant to me and how grateful I am because of it, I will attempt to list some important things I have learned while working at Double R.
I have learned:
Of course this hits only the tip of the iceberg, but overall I am very happy to have met so many nice and interesting people and to have done so many memorable video production projects and attended other DC events in just six weeks. Now I shall hang out productively in flat, spread-out land for six weeks (I say that with love of course, Kansas!) before going back to the east coast to start college at Smith this fall. I am beyond grateful to have started my new chapter of my life with Double R.
(P.S. I am the third from the left in the picture above holding that long yellow banner at a rally to help save the environment. I am excited to see the future United States be at the forefront of the green economy, but for now we have a lot of work to do.)
