Hello, future interns!
Have you made up your mind about your future career options? Don’t worry! The purpose of my writing is very clear: to solve your problem. I am a production assistant that has been working at Double R Productions since November. I joined the company through the Korea WEST program. I am going to let you know about all the work that will be expected as an intern at Double R.
Intern’s work is much more diverse than average internship, but I’ve picked a few below.
IN-THE-CAMERA
The in-the-camera assignment can’t be edited so you should shoot all scenes in order, without any bad takes. This is your first storytelling video. You don’t have to feel pressured to edit on AVID just yet. Your creativity and teamwork are the most important factors.
PSA or Public Service Announcement
You must create a PSA video about a social issue like gun violence, environmental pollutions, and etc. I have already written several scripts, which have helped me recognize social issues existing in the United State.
Elevator speech
It’s really important to be able to talk about yourself and your company in public. Double R Productions gives you a chance to introduce yourself without a script, through a 30-second elevator speech.
Pro-bono
You will pick a non-profit organization, and shoot a video for them. From the process of choosing a company to shooting and editing, you are going to take charge of the whole process!
Blog/Vlog
In a blog or a vlog, you can express your thoughts to the fullest. It is a great tool to help your writing skills and hopefully your work will help next Double Rinterns.
Social Media Post
Social media is a trend these days. Promote the company through three Instagram posts per week.
In addition, Double R Productionsgives the interns a job that suits their abilities. For example, I was assigned to create a company brochure and we are now officially using it. Show us your creativity and passion!
