Busy, Busy, Busy, Bye!

  • admin

As time here at Double R quickly comes to an end, these last two weeks are the busiest! From creating our demo reel, to putting the “All Hands on Deck” video together, we have more than enough on our plates.

Having down time is not an option at all this week. The Double R Interns have a full plate and it’s something that I’m sure we can all handle. Working at Double R has given me the opportunity to get a feel of the real world and how to work on a professional level.

With all the work that needs to be done this week alone in the office, the fieldwork does not stop. Double R will still be working on production shoots while Double R Interns Rory and Linda conduct informational interviews to learn more about those who are in the field they want to go in. Linda and I were also out of the office this past Tuesday helping the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington with a marketing workshop,

I can honestly say that I don’t believe I would have received the same work experience interning at any other job this summer! I’ve designed, ordered, and presented posters and invitations at the Business Volunteers for the Arts event, produced an informational interview, partied on a roof top deck with Rosemary Reed and her colleagues, attended a Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Gala, made a news package covering the Betty Dukes vs. Wal-Mart Rally in front of the Supreme Court, and so much more!

There were too many opportunities offered to me for me to complain about being busy these last two weeks. I LOVE IT!!! I would like to give a warm, heart-filled Thank You to Rosemary Reed for seeing something in me and offering me an internship for the summer. I also thank her for telling me that I have skills in marketing, which I would NEVER have thought!

Thank You Double R Productions for everything! Thanks Claudio for being a very sweet but intimidating supervisor! Thank You Catherine, “Ray of Sunshine” for helping me with everything and showing me that you are here if I need you! Thanks Michael for being quiet but funny, p.s I liked the chocolate! Thanks Paul for being there every time I called your name for help! And double thanks to Rosemary Reed for just letting me have this opportunity! I love Double R Productions; This is an experience that I will NEVER forget!! #SigningOff
