Woojae:

Whenever I travel I feel like there isn’t an end to my trip. However my last day in the U.S. will surely come and before I notice I will be back home in South Korea. My time at Double R Productions has flown by.

I still can’t believe my fellow intern; Mahalia, after only 3 months is leaving! Sometimes I forget it’s already the end of April.

It’s already been 5 months since I started at Double R Productions. That means I only have 3 months before I travel back to Korea. I think now I’m prepared to work in any field in Korea. I feel like I could even go back to the military. I say this because I’ve been doing so many different types of work lately. Sometimes I’m needed as an on-camera extra while other times I’m needed as a stagehand. If I hadn’t interned at Double R, I wouldn’t have gotten the confidence to pursue a career, whether it be in my major or not.

Mahalia:

Double R Productions has given me so much during my 13 weeks here. I am incredibly thankful for all the knowledge I’ve received since beginning this journey. This internship has given me an opportunity to take a closer look at the media and communications industry. As my internship program is coming to an end I feel it’s only right to take a moment to reflect.

I have gained a better appreciation for script writing and the work of production assistants. Script writing is key to producing a quality video that will satisfy the client. It is the perfect opportunity to get feedback from the client before beginning the editing process. Working as a production assistant made me value the little details that are crucial to an excellent shoot. There is so much more I would love to say about Double R but one short blog post wouldn’t be enough.

Woojae and I have interned together for 13 weeks. This friendship established at Double R will certainly continue as I leave to start the next chapter of my life. But I know Woojae and I will reminisce about Double R Productions for years to come.
