For those of you getting frustrated with the job search process or the lack of opportunity out there, it’s time for a reality check. Between my time in Washington and my internship at Double R I have learned the value of flexibility. In order to take full advantage of any opportunity presented to a person he needs to be able to bend a little, one way or the other. If you remain rigid and fixed on the dream you have had ever since you were little, you have a long and hard road ahead of you. At Double R I quickly figured out that it was essential for me to be flexible and expose myself to different things. Upon doing this I was able to discover certain aspects of being a professional that I liked and didn’t like; it also gave me a better idea of what I want to do later on down the road. So long as you are willing and able to take on jobs that may not be exactly what you dream of, you will have an easier time making that dream a reality
