Going Green before Going Out

  • admin

It is our last week at Double R and we are wrapping up our final projects. One of our last projects was to shoot Proctor and Gamble’s (P&G) Future Friendly tent at the 2010 Climate Rally in DC to celebrate the 40th Earth Day. It was an exciting event for a great cause. Climate Rally took place on April 25 and was the concluding day of Earth Day celebrations. P&G had a virtual graffiti wall in their tent on which people would write their personal “Act of Green,” pledging to make a change in their life to help the environment.

The day was full of friendly people, live music, and lots of celebrities.Maria Menounos, Bobby Kennedy, and James Cameron were a few of the famous faces that made an appearance that day.

It was a very busy day and a great last shoot with Double R. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at Double R and have learned so much. The most valuable knowledge I have gained this semester would have to be the technical skills. I’ve learned to operate a camera, edit in AVID and so much more. It was a very effective learning experience.

From pre-production, on set, and post-production experiences, I have gained the insight that I need to go on and achieve my own goals. Thank you so much to the team at Double R! I will definitely miss it.
