I Finished Where I Started

  • admin

Where did the month of April go? And why is my internship ending so fast? A lot of questions with no answers, but as they say, “Every good thing must come to and end.” I came in as a nervous and frightened intern and now I will be leaving a very confident young man.

As I am wrapping up the week before my last, Darron and I are in a race with time to finish assignments like our Pro-bono, our second and third vlog and making our demo reel. It is getting really busy toward the end. The first time I travelled with my supervisor, Rosemary, was to the National Credit Union administration (NCUA) for writing workshop. This week was the last time I went there and I ended my internship the same way I started it. During this shoot, I helped one of our videographers, Thom, with setting up and I did makeup. I have to say, I was pretty good at it. Thom said that it could be a hidden talent and I agree. When I first learned how to put on makeup, I was not a big fan, but the more I get to do it, the more I love it. Also, I set up the TelePrompTer. Thanks to Lauren’s guidance and lessons, I set up very fast.  Not only do we have a good staff, she is a great teacher as well. I can’t imagine a better place to end then where I had my first shoot with Double R. The best part of this experience is not only the technical skills I learned but also the life lessons that I will carry with me forever.
