My last day at Double R is getting closer and closer. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for the experiences I’ve had here. I’ve learned ten times more than a classroom could ever teach me. I really don’t want to go back to the classroom, people! I’ve learned a different editing software called Avid Media Composer. The camera has become one of my best friends here. I now know how to shoot video professionally. I’ve also learned a lot from the marketing aspect of business by helping with our social media marketing.
I think what I’m going to miss the most about this internship is the people. Everyone at the office has a different personality that really makes the office fun and interesting. If you become an intern or someone new at Double R, be sure to ask Michael to tell some jokes. He has some good ones! Also, don’t ever ask Paul what he’s eating. You don’t want to know! Don’t ever try to beat SanQuan in a dance off either. I’m going to miss Soojin and Crystal as well. We have become a great team, and we have accomplished a lot together. They have made the internship fun and entertaining.
Some advice I have for the next interns coming in would be to mentally prepare yourself because you are going to be challenged and you are going to make mistakes. No intern is perfect, but if you can’t take a challenge or bounce back from your mistakes, then your time here is not going to be meaningful. Don’t let your failures get you down and also know that the people at Double R are ready and willing to help you.
