It’s Time to Say Goodbye

  • admin

Sitting here staring out the Double R intern office window at the pigeons that frequent the building next store (That’s for you Paul).

I think about everything I have accomplished this summer and how much I have grown. I can say without a doubt that this has been one of the best and most rewarding summers of my life; one I know I will never forget!

In the short ten weeks that I have been able to call Washington DC my home I have come to realize that this city will always now mean more to me then I could have ever imagined. Double R Productions is my first internship, and the work I have done here only solidifies my want to be a part of the media communications industry. I have gone on shoots, edited videos, learned more about Avid, made some mistakes, transcribed audio files, met with clients, labeled countless DVD’s…well the list goes on.

I had the opportunity to learn from the best brand in the business and to that I cannot say thank you to Rosemary, Catherine, Claudio, Paul and Michael enough! I came to Double R very nervous, but with a great intern team (Thanks Rory and Brittany!) it was easy to settle in, have fun and hit the ground running from day one.

At this point in the blog I feel like I should say something inspirational and meaningful. However, the lessons I’ve learned here at Double R and Washington DC can’t be put into words. I have grown, and anyone who is moving from college to career knows what that means.

To the entire Double R team, thank you again; you’ve made the summer of 2011 an unforgettable one.
