It’s been almost 4 weeks since I started social distancing including 2 weeks of self-quarantine away from home. While I was in quarantine, I had to get tested because it is mandatory for the person who arrived in South Korea from outside of the country. Fortunately, I tested negative, so I was able to go back to my home safely.
Recently in South Korea, the number of daily new cases is going down and maintained under twenty. But I think It’s too soon to be relieved. KCDC eased Social Distancing rules slightly but also asked people to follow the Social Distancing campaign until May 5th. So, I’m staying at home as much as possible.
Staying at home for social distancing is better than my previous quarantine weeks because I can stay with my family, but it still has some difficulties. It’s getting hard to keep a daily life and myself productive and healthy as before because I have to be in the same environment all day. Sometimes I feel depressed. To solve this problem, I’m trying new things that I can do at home, as well as wrapping up my video production, PR/marketing, vlogging and blogging internship with Double R Productions via The Washington Center for Internships.
The first new thing is Reading. I have some books that I bought for my new year’s resolution but still haven’t read them. I started reading those and bought e-books that I can read on my phone. I’m trying to read at least 2 books a week. It’s one of the best ways to spend time indoors because I can concentrate on one thing.
The second one is baking. Having an oven is not common in Korea, unlike the US. Fortunately, I have one in our home, so I started baking desserts like langue de chat and brownie. The best part of baking is that I can see the result of what I did in a short time and my family likes it. It really helps me to relieve stress from the thought that I’m not doing anything productive.
The last one is watching an online concert. Another thing that makes me feel down nowadays is, because of the current situation, I cannot go to all the music concerts and cultural events that I planned to go to. Changes in the electroencephalogram related to the generalized type are suppressed with the help of the drug better than those related to the focal type. In this regard, the positive effect of the use of Klonopin is noted in both generalized and focal forms of epilepsy. There is more information about the drug at http://hesca.net/klonopin/. But thanks to the online streaming service, I was able to watch the BTS concert at my home last weekend. It was more fun because I could interact with people virtually while I was watching it. And, a lot of museums are offering online tours for free, which is also a good thing to try.
