Newcomers and New Experiences

  • admin

This week marks the second to last week here at Double R Productions for Shirley and me. Time has definitely flown by. At the start of the week we were greeted with a new addition to the production family. Inhye Park is from the Korea West program, and she will be working with Double R until next July. It was our responsibility to show her the ropes, which made me realize how comfortable and at home we feel here. It’s been a good test to see what we’ve learned so far.

On Tuesday we had a shoot to go to, but this time our intern team were on camera as extras instead of behind the scenes. However, this didn’t take away from our usual responsibilities. Shirley and I made sure to put make up on all actors (and each other) and helped set up all the props. This was really fun to experience and everything ran smoothly.

After being here for three months, this internship experience has left a lot of room for reflection, and Tuesday’s shoot really emphasized everything we’ve learned from being here. We were not as nervous as we have been in past shoots and we knew what was needed to be done and when. As the end of this experience is approaching I’m feeling more and more grateful for the lessons I’ve been taught and the friendships I’ve made with co-workers and fellow interns through the video production process at Double R.
