Hello. I’m Inhye Park who started working for Double R Productionsas an intern three weeks ago. I’m a student at Sookmyung Women’s University in South Korea, majoring in Media and Communications. I took several global media classes and interned at a broadcasting company in South Korea. In order to expand my knowledge on global media, I moved to the United States to experience a broader world. I came here in July of 2018 and will stay here for a year in Washington D.C. I was able to get a job with Double Rthrough the Korea West program.
Within my first three weeks, the Double Roffice was very busy. There were two shoots, one was with National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (N4A) and the other was a Public Service Announcement about blood donation for the National Association of Broadcast. I also had time to write a few script ideas for Gun Violence. I also joined a holiday party with Rosemary at Culture Vistas, my sponsor. All the Double Remployees are kind enough to help me get adjusted at work. The last interns, Shirley and Michelle, also tried to make me feel comfortable here. I hope they are all well.
I will learn the media industry in the U.S. through my internship. I would also like to master the skills needed to edit a video and become an efficient production assistant. When I finish my internship, I hope to be more professional in the media field. I’d like to feel familiar with the American society and I think I can improve my English skills as well. I’m looking forward to a special experience at Double R Productions.
