After working with Double Rfor eight weeks it’s safe to say the time has flown. The experience has been extremely valuable. Our latest assignment was to create a vlog, which had to include aspects of production. The intern team and I decided to be clever and base it on the sneaky mouse that keeps wandering around the office. We filmed the piece from the mouse point of view. After receiving feedback we realized the main issue was sound. However, Rosemary and the team reassured us that this is a common issue for interns here at Double R.Like always, we made use of the feedback we were given and improved on our vlog. Rosemary even brought in a fake Halloween rat for us to use. We’ve discovered there is a difference between a mouse and a rat. The Double Rteam were happy with the final outcome and our first vlog was finally done.
Next was our pro bono assignment. Two weeks ago we filmed an awards event for Think Local First DC, an organization that supports small local businesses. The team and I edited a sizzle reel from the event and our client was very happy with it. However she got back to us with some changes, which we did not expect. Once again Rosemary was very helpful and gave us great advice on how we could improve our video. If there’s one thing I’m learning from being at Double Rit’s that help and support are always around the corner. All in all it’s been a good week and the fact that Halloween was involved made it all the better!
