Thank you and Goodbye Double R!

  • admin

For our last blog post at Double R,Meg and I decided to split the entry between the two of us so we both had the chance to talk about our last week in D.C. I will share my remarks on the Pro-Life March while Meg Rolfsen explains the Women’s March and gives our final goodbye.

Another busy week at Double R! This past weekend, Quinton, Inhye, Meg, and I set out to gather footage at the Women’s March in hopes to capture the participant’s differing perspectives. Our two Double Rintern teams reported this event from different angles. Quinton and Inhye focused on the diversity of women, while Meg and I looked into the controversial topic of pro-life versus pro-choice. To better understand the perspective of a pro-life supporter, we attended the March for Life that took place the day before the Women’s March. Meg and I interviewed pro-life marchers, asking them many questions such as “Is pro-life pro-woman?” We received a variety of answers all supported by the idea that half of unborn children are women so pro-life must be pro-woman. Satisfied with our results, we took our footage back to the office, excited to attend the Women’s March the following day.

On Saturday, Caroline and I interviewed many pro-choice women, asking them similar questions to the day before at the March for Life. We received answers stating that pro-life could never work with pro-woman because it takes away a woman’s right to choose. After covering the two marches, Caroline and I were confident in our video and the message.

Unfortunately, our chapter at Double Rhas come to an end. Caroline and I are so sad to go, but we want to thank Double Rfor all the opportunities they have given us. Our three weeks here have taught us the importance of writing and communications in a business setting. We are so grateful for the time we have spent at Double R Productions.
