The Merry Month of May…Let’s Celebrate!

This is one of my favorite months. It’s spring, flowers are blooming, the earth awakens and it’s also my birthday month. What a great time of the year to be born! And we have much to celebrate at Double R Productions.

Every off-election year since the late 80s, Double R and yours truly have had the honor of working with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) on their Congressional Public Service Announcement (PSA) program.  We produce several new :30-second spots each year so that members of Congress and their families can send a positive message to their constituents on topics like cancer and mental health awareness, opioid abuse, supporting small business and of course our troops. The NAB offers two PSAs per member and/or a family member and those TV and radio spots are distributed to NAB member stations across our country.  I’m incredibly proud of Double R’s role in this important and very positive program.. While in a celebratory mood, I congratulate the Double R creative team who I could not do our fabulous work without.  We look at all sorts of societal problems on a regular basis and we take time to produce spots close to our hearts.  See this “Garbage World” PSA, the creative idea produced by newly named producer, Eurah Lee and editor, Paul Jamali for Causes, a University of the District of Columbia environmental group.
