We finished our fundraising video for the Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, which was one crazy rollercoaster. We started shooting a few weeks ago and were immediately ambushed with challenges to our lighting and sound. But as well-trained Double R Interns, we of course shot some beautiful images. Once back in the office, the real work could start: editing with AVID. After editing our three VLOGS, AVID has became my one and only love. We were all slightly nervous when we showed the result to Rosemary and our other colleagues. But they just ate it up, yeah!
With the smell of juicy Thanksgiving turkey still in my nose, fall is leaving and winter is arriving in DC. The end of this semester is near and so is my first internship. It is remarkable how time flies and I almost have to fly back to Belgium. Frankly, I am going to miss Double R Productions. It became a second home for me, with Rosemary taking care of us like a mommy, and Blake and Scott being like siblings. We all agree that we learned and grew here. So, it is time to thank the wonderful Double R staff for being the Best Brand in the Business!
Blake: Thanks for helping me during my first weeks in this new environment. I appreciate your cleverness, confidence and style. People can learn from you. I love laughing with you and all of your funny jokes.
Scott: Thanks for bringing peace and silence during hectic times. As Rosemary likes to say “the early bird gets the worm first”, so I hope you will get the first worm in these next few weeks when you are looking for a job. Congratulations with your graduation and I wish you all the luck in the future. P.S.: do not try to kill your niece.
Paul: Thanks for your patience with us during our editing process. I am sure we asked you some stupid questions, but you were always willing to help. And thanks for that hideous moustache that still makes me laugh inside. Too bad Movember is almost over.
Claudio: Thanks for reducing my disgust of sales, marketing and anything that concerns economics. I have learned its importance this semester. And thanks for sneezing like a funny goose almost every day, but try not to contaminate the next group of interns.
Michael: Thanks for your valuable contribution to Double R and for helping us out when we really messed up our editing. And I liked the funny tone you add to this house.
Catherine: Thanks for improving my English while correcting these blogs. I really appreciate the time you take to teach us new things with a smile. Moreover, I love your enthusiasm for writing and speaking. And, thanks for your passion for fashion and our shared admiration for Florence + The Machine.
Rosemary: Thank you for believing in me and giving me this wonderful opportunity. It is clear that this semester was by far the most instructive and interesting one I have experienced in my short career. You were right on the mark when you said that we learn from everyone and every single moment. The past semester was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, thanks!
Double R: I am going to miss you all! Happy Holidays and Good Luck With Everything!
