Crossing the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, and leaving my beloved country – Belgium – behind for the unknown, I had no idea what my four months at The Washington Center would be like. Looking back, I can safely say my semester in D.C. has exceeded my wildest expectations. Never have I ever seen, laughed,  learned and grown so much in such a short period of time. And for most of that, I have to thank Double R Productions, as it was the most valuable component of my stay at The Washington Center. They treated me more as a Production Assistant than an intern and Rosemary consistently involved me in the most interesting shoots, such as the PSA spots for the NAB. Each day at Double R brings its new challenges and two days are never the same. I feel that I have grown professionally, but also personally by interaction with the lovely staff and my fellow interns, Blake and Scott. I will miss life in D.C. but I will miss life in the wonderful land of Double Rmore. Yet, it won’t make me sad because I know I have taken all of it and I will carry this experience with me forever. Thanks guys!

For four months in Washington D.C., I truly took part in an experience of a lifetime. Working with Double R Productions has been one of the best decisions I made from a professional standpoint. Double R Productionsis more of a home for me than just an internship. Rosemary Reedtreats you like a legit employee and expects nothing but the best on everything. This team of talented people is amazing and always willing to help their young intern team if needed. It’s bittersweet that my time has come to end at Double R Productions, however I will never forget this experience. Blake and Amelie, I hope you ladies accomplish your goals and aspirations. I may not say much to you two, but I appreciate both of you and believe that we were the right combination to form a great intern team. Thank you all

Being the last intern at the office, I can’t believe I am writing my final assignment for Double R Productions. Out of the four internship experiences I’ve had, this is the first time I am sad the job is over.  Last night Amélie and I worked at the office into the late hours finishing our intern demo reel and making personal demo DVDs.  We blasted Katy Perry to keep us awake and energized (Scott definitely missed out on the demo reel dance party).  Looking over everything my team and I have done this semester, I am so proud of all the work we’ve accomplished.  If you couldn’t tell from our VLOGs and blog posts, this is the most diverse group of people you can have working together.  But I wouldn’t have had it any other way because our various strengths and distinct personalities made a cohesive unit that produced quality work.  We also had a lot of fun while working and I hope we keep in touch.  Thank you Rosemary for your dedication and persistent faith in your interns.  I walk away from Double R with a wealth of knowledge, starving motivation, and a handful of cherished memories.
