The snowstorm stopped a lot of work in Washington D.C this week. From the government, to schools, and businesses, much of the city shut down and was out of commission. The weather might have affected many but it had no effect on Double R Productions. This week I noticed how the leadership of Double R affects all of the team. President Rosemary Reed spent the week in New York City, and the team functioned without her. I learned growing up that you can tell how good the leadership of a team is when the leadership is not around. That means the leader’s training, teaching, and guidance is put to the test. Double R Productions staff passed the test because the company didn’t miss a beat. With freezing cold temperatures and lots of snow, we interns started the week out slow but we didn’t let the snow hold us down. We were determined to give this week our all and we did just that.
Starting our Vlog was so fun. If you have never heard the term Vlog, it is a video blog. I’m excited for everyone to see it!!! We started our editing process and we are thinking about what our next script will look like. Since Rosemary is out of the office for the week, we put worth an effort to make sure that everyone has everything they need. For sales and marketing, Catherine now has a long list of companies to view because I crossed every t and dotted every i!!!!
I think the best moment of the week had to be our adventure to Toastmasters with Catherine.

I’ve competed in public speaking since 4
thgrade, but I can always improve my speaking. At the event we learned about common grammatical errors, how to evaluate someone’s speech, and common mistakes with public speaking.
Attending events like this allows you to meet potential clients that need video production.
Having an adventure with
Double R Productions team members is always a joy for me because we learn so much from them in a very fun way.
